Welcome Coaches, Gymnasts, Parents, Judges and Gymnastics Fans to the New York State Boys' Gymnastics Website. The purpose of this website is to keep you informed about all aspects of the USA-Gymnastics Men's Program in New York. New York State is divided into Upstate and Downstate. This website will provide information on all of the major New York gymnastics events as well as Regional and National events of interest to us. It will also list Downstate Local meets and events. For a more detailed listing of Upstate Local meets, events and issues, please check out the Upstate Website http://upstatenyboysgymnastics.wordpress.com/. The New York State Chairman for boys' gymnastics is Carl Schrade. Carl has been the head coach at World Cup Gymnastics for the past 14 years.

HELPING TO SAVE COLLEGE GYMNASTICS
When I was in college, there were hundreds of college gymnastics programs across the country. Today there are fewer than 20. It is really a shame that many of our young gymnasts, who dedicate so much time and effort to their sport, will have no place to continue to compete after high school. Fortunately, there are two organizations that are dedicated to helping college gymnastics thrive and grow. The College Gymnastics Foundation www.collegegymnastics.org and the Men's Intercollegiate Gymnastics Support Program www.migsp.org have both been instrumental in saving endangered programs and strengthening existing programs. These organizations are in the process of merging. I encourage all supporters of men's gymnastics to get involved and support their efforts to help our sport.
